Dave Matthews Band's 'Away From the World' Bows at the Top of Hot 200

DMB become the only band in the history to have six consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

AceShowbiz - For the sixth consecutive time, Dave Matthews Band score a chart-topping album in its debut week on Billboard Hot 200. Their latest studio set "Away From the World" bows at the top spot of the chart this week with 266,000 copies.

DMB's biggest hit was when their album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" opened with 424,000 copies in 2009. Despite topping the chart, "Away From the World" marks the band's smallest launch since 1996's "Crash" bowed at No. 2 with 254,000.

The other spots in the top six belong to new releases. The runner-up spot is claimed by Little Big Town's "Tornado" with 113,000 copies. The album becomes the country quartet's highest charting album so far.

Bob Dylan's thirty-fifth studio installment "Tempest" places third with 110,000 copies. His last No. 1 album "Together through Life" opened with 125,000 in 2009. Placing fourth and fifth places respectively are The Avett Brothers' "The Carpenter" with 98,000 copies and The xx's "Coexist" with 73,000 copies.

ZZ Top's "La Futura" debuts at No. 6 with 31,000. The album marks the trio's best rank on the chart since their album "Recycler" reached No. 6 in 1990. It also becomes the band's first Top 10 album since their 1992 "Greatest Hits" went to No. 9.

Imagine Dragons' "Night Visions" drops 65|percent| from last week to No. 7 with 29,000 copies. Matchbox 20's "North" places 8 (28,000; drops 71|percent|), "Now 43" compilation lands on the ninth spot (24,000; drops 31|percent), while Amanda Palmer's "Theatre Is Evil" debuts on the tenth spot with 24,000.
