Director Peter Jackson has just dropped an exciting announcement for "The Hobbit" fans worldwide. Posting a video on his official Facebook page, the New Zealand filmmaker shares that a new trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is about to come out in a foreseeable future, just in time for the Tolkien Week.
Confirming that the new sneak peek is set to make its way out online on Wednesday, September 19, Jackson also promises that he's going to share some "special content" to the fanboys in the upcoming "exciting week." He additionally reminds fans that Bilbo and Frodo are going to celebrate their combined birthday on September 26.
"The Hobbit" follows the journey of Bilbo, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by Gandalf, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin.
The first installment of the "Hobbit" trilogy will grace the U.S. theaters on December 14. Meanwhile, the Tolkien Week is held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the publication of "The Hobbit" book.
