Lindsay's rep insists that the reports saying the actress 'disappeared, blew off rehearsal, missed her flight to the set' and 'bizarrely claimed she had walking pneumonia' are all 'untrue.'
Earlier on Tuesday, September 12, words ran rampant that Lindsay Lohan had caused troubles in the production of "Scary Movie 5", where she's expected to make a cameo. Lindsay's representative quickly dismissed the swirling rumors, claiming that all the reports suggesting that the troubled actress tried to bail out of the spoof movie were incorrect. "These stories are untrue, and she is willingly fulfilling all of her obligations (for the film)," the rep claimed.
Rumors that Lindsay sparked drama while filming "Scary Movie 5" were first shared by New York Post, which heard the words from insiders that the "Machete" star "freaked out" after discovering that the screenplay was poking fun at her troubles. She was expected to film her scene opposite Charlie Sheen, but over the past two weeks before the shooting began, she suddenly "disappeared, blew off rehearsal, missed her flight to the set" and "bizarrely claimed she had walking pneumonia."
"Lindsay missed every meeting she had for the film, including script reads and wardrobe meetings," a Hollywood insider told the site. "Then she missed her flight to Atlanta on Sunday to shoot the movie. The producers had been getting signs Friday that she was a mess, and would not be fit to work." Words were, a private jet was sent to pick the actress up and she was also threatened with a lawsuit by a Hollywood legal eagle if she abruptly exited the project.
Insiders said that Lindsay wanted to scrap the movie because she thought her scene made too much fun of her. Revealing that the scene included a kiss with Charlie, a source stated, "It was pretty hard at Lindsay," and "she'd been freaking out about it for weeks." However, when the production team tried to reach her to discuss the script, the red-haired actress missed that too.
Another insider revealed that Lindsay claimed she had "walking pneumonia" so she couldn't film the movie on Sunday. "She is under contract - so to get out of it, she had to prove that she was sick," said the source. "She tried to prove she has walking pneumonia." Yet another source added, "She's been locked up in her room at the Bowery Hotel. She's been in a tailspin. Even Charlie Sheen worried she might not be able to do the scene."
"Scary Movie 5" is helmed by Malcolm Lee and David Zucker, who also wrote the script for "Scary Movie 3" and "Scary Movie 4". The latest chapter is slated for an April 19, 2013 release in the United States. Lindsay and Charlie reportedly would tackle the part which was described as "the world's hottest new couple."
