Video Premiere: Robbie Williams' 'Candy'

The Take That boybander protects his lady and makes sure that no harm will ever come her way.

Robbie Williams plays a guardian angel and a knight in shining armor to his lady love in a music video for his new single "Candy". The Take That star gets run over by cars, fights everyone including a harmless old woman who gets in her way. He suffers bruises and cuts in the process.

The single is taken from Robbie's upcoming ninth studio album "Take the Crown" which is due in the United Kingdom on November 5. "It's a summer song about a girl who thinks she's great," he said. "And she might be, but she's a bit nefarious with her ways."

He continued, "Some songs take an age to write and some songs just fall out of your mouth completely formed, and you don't have to think about it. I don't know why that fell out of my mouth and out of my brain at that particular time - it just did."
