The bride thanks fellow musician Mike Batt for writing a song for the wedding and William Orbit for playing the turntable.
Katie Melua officially becomes Mrs. James Toseland. The 27-year-old singer exchanged wedding vows with her World Superbike champion beau in the Nash Conservatory at Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, west London on Saturday, September 1.
The bride was gorgeous in an off-white, embroidered and beaded dress by bridal designer Claire Pettibone, while the groom looked dapper in a gray three-piece suit. They tied the knot in front of 200 guests consisting of family members and close friends.
Among the guests were Prince Pieter-Christiaan Michiel of the Netherlands, music producer William Orbit and composer Mike Batt. "Had an incredible day! @Mike_Batt thank you for writing us such a great song for our wedding and thank you @WilliamOrbit for a fab dj set!!" she tweeted.
The couple first met in her concert at Sheffield City Hall. "Katie has been great," he said. "[At first] she had no interest in me whatsoever because I was a motorcycle racer. She hadn't heard of me. She wouldn't even know what Valentino Rossi looked like."
