'The Amazing Race 21' Cast Includes Former Megadeth Member and 'Beekman Boys' Stars

The upcoming installment of the CBS reality competition show will double the $1 million grand prize if the team, which wins the first leg, can go on and win the final race.

AceShowbiz - The eleven teams that will compete in the upcoming 21th season of "The Amazing Race" have been announced. Those who will travel in three continents and nine countries include heavy metal rocker James LoMenzo, who was a member of White Lion and Megadeth. He'll team up with his entertainment lawyer friend Mark Abbattista.

Also signing up for the journey, which spans 25,000 miles and includes visits to Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Netherlands, are Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, who are known for their reality show "The Fabulous Beekman Boys", Chippendales dancers Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis, as well as a double-amputee snowboarder Amy Purdy.

"Amazing Race" will kick off the new season Sunday, September 30 at 8 P.M. ET on CBS with Phil Keoghan returning as the host. It offers a new twist by doubling the standard $1 million prize to $2 million if the team which wins the first leg eventually wins the final leg.

  • Abbie Ginsberg, 31, dance instructor/choreographer; Ryan Danz, 35, financial service company owner (dating divorcees)
  • Jaymes Vaughan, 30, Chippendales emcee; James Davis, 27, Chippendales dancer (best friends)
  • Rob Scheer, 52, lumberjack and entrepreneur; Sheila Castle, 44, retail manager (engaged)
  • Caitlin King, 24, special ed teacher; Brittany Fletcher, 25, medical device sales (best friends)
