'True Blood' Season 5 Finale Preview: Jason Is Up for War

The fairies continue battling Russell, Salome drinks Lilith's blood and Eric tries to convince Bill that Lilith is a mad god.

"There is a war coming," so Jason warns in a preview for the last episode of "True Blood" season 5. Getting ready to fight the Vampires Authority, he is armed with guns and says, "The time for tolerance is over."

Eric also embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow the Authority and save Bill from losing his humanity. He tells Bill that Lilith is a mad God, and she is nothing but destruction, but Bill seemingly doesn't listen as he insists, "My blood is beyond fear of retribution."

Salome, meanwhile, believes she is the chosen one to rule the world and drinks from the vial of Lilith's blood. Still in the Authority headquarters, Sam is taken to Bill who tells the bar owner that he should have never come there and that he knows too much now. Sam and Luna will later test their limits in trying to escape the Authority.

Elsewhere, the fairies, including Sookie, are still facing off Russell. They unleash their power to attack the vampire but after drinking from the elder, he is much stronger. Meanwhile, Andy faces the consequences of a light pact he made, and Alcide readies for a second showdown with J.D.

Titled "Save Yourself", the new episode will air Sunday, August 26 at 9 P.M. on HBO. Deborah Ann Woll previously said of the season finale, "There's going to be more questions than answers. It's definitely the bloodiest one yet. And I think it's the best cliffhanger we've ever done."
