'Sons of Anarchy' star Bruno Gunn has been tapped to play the most feared tribute who is the last one to die in the Third Quarter Quell.
Who is going to play Brutus in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"? Lionsgate Films has announced that the chosen actor who will tackle the part of the District 2 tribute is Bruno Gunn, who is known for his roles on such TV shows as "The Office", "Sons of Anarchy" and "Prison Break".
Gunn joins "Criminal Minds" star Meta Golding, who has just been tapped to play Enobaria, Brutus' fellow tribute from District 2. A former Hunger Games victor, Brutus is a forty-something tribute who won the games shortly after Haymitch Abernathy.
As described in the Suzanne Collins book, Brutus is the last tribute to die in the Third Quarter Quell. Getting the 7th place in the games, Brutus is dubbed one of the most lethal competitors just like his District 2 fellow Cato in the first book. He is killed by Peeta Mellark in "Mockingjay".
"Catching Fire" begins as Katniss Everdeen returns home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games with Peeta. Being victors means they must turn around and leave their family and close friends and embark on a "Victor's Tour" of the district.
Along the way, Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
This sequel to "The Hunger Games" will hit the U.S. theaters on November 22 with Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Donald Sutherland returning as Katniss, Peeta, Gale Hawthorne and President Snow respectively. The film will be directed by Francis Lawrence.
