AceShowbiz - Getting closer to its U.S. release date, "The Bourne Legacy" threw a New York premiere on Monday, July 30. Leading actor Jeremy Renner was on hand to support the special screening event taking place at the Ziegfeld Theater. He was joined by his beautiful co-star Rachel Weisz, who became the belle of the ball during the night.

Renner stole the spotlight with his handsome look. The Aaron Cross depicter opted to go with a traditional two-piece black suit, which he paired with a matching shirt and leather shoes. The hunky actor was all smiles when posing for the swarming photographers.

Joining Renner on the red carpet was Weisz, who looked elegant in a black tube dress. Oozing sexiness in the strapless number, the wife of Daniel Craig showed her leg in the split-to-the-thigh outfit that she paired with a domino-shaped clutch. She completed her classy look with a pair of transparent heels which were adorned by a number of black bows.

Also spotted on the red carpet was Rene Russo who kept it simple in a black tight dress with nude-colored accent on the chest. Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac, Stacy Keach and Dennis Boutsikaris were among the other male celebrities attending the formal promotional event.

"Bourne Legacy" follows a new hero called Aaron Cross whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. Directed and co-written by Tony Gilroy, the fourth installment of the "Bourne" movie series is slated for an August 10 release nationwide.
