The pregnant star of 'Jersey Shore' gets a stuffed animal from the Republican presidential candidate and hangs out backstage with him and his wife.

AceShowbiz - Snooki has met Newt Gingrich, a presidential nominee from Republican Party, when visiting "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno". She thought he was "cute and nice," so she was confused as to why a lot of people didn't like the 69-year-old politician.
"Obviously I don't know s*** about politics, but I think he's just such a cute little man," the mom-to-be said. "I had to Google him, but he's so cute and nice. I don't know why everyone hates him so much." She added, "I guess his views? I don't know any of his views."
Gingrich gave a stuffed elephant to the "Jersey Shore" star and joked about considering to appear on her spin-off show, "Snooki & JWoww". In return, the very pregnant star promised to send him and his wife Callista some gifts like slippers and self-named fragrance.
Snooki has also bonded with John McCain. Last year, the senator replied to her complaint about President Obama's plan to increase taxes on tanning salons. "@Sn00ki u r right I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama's tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen!" he wrote.
Although she already found new buddies in two Republican politicians, Snooki wouldn't directly jump into supporting the GOP. "I'm an independent," she explained. "I have to look into it more."
