The 'Mission: Impossible' actor visits his six-year-old daughter in New York City and takes her to gymnastics class on July 17.
Soon after he wrapped up the filming of "Oblivion", Tom Cruise wasted no time to jet off to New York and visit his daughter Suri Cruise. On Tuesday, July 17, the father and daughter duo was spotted spending their time together for the first time since Katie Holmes announced her split from her actor husband.
Wearing a light blue shirt, the Stacee Jaxx of "Rock of Ages" carried Suri, who donned an orange dress, into the Greenwich Hotel where he was staying. They later left the hotel with Tom sporting a navy T-shirt and Suri trading her casual red flip-flops with a pair of burnt red patent flats.
The 6-year-old girl had her head buried in her father's shoulder as they headed to an awaiting car while photographers outside the building took their pictures. Tom reportedly took Suri to Chelsea Piers for her gymnastics class. His sister Cass Mapother was also seen arriving at the hotel carrying toys that day.
A day before the father and daughter reunion, Suri and her mother Katie were involved in a car accident. A police source said that a New York City Sanitation truck sideswiped the Mercedes where their were in on Monday, July 16 night, but no one was injured.
Katie and Suri have been living in an apartment in the Chelsea Mercantile since she the former "Dawnson's Creek" star filed for divorce from Tom. The pair who got married on November 18, 2006 reached a settlement in late June, in which she reportedly was granted primary custody of their little girl with generous visitation by the "Knight & Day" actor.
