AceShowbiz - Celeste Holm's works over the course of more than 60 years have inspired a lot of stars in Hollywood. Some of those who are touched by her dedication in movie industry have sent condolence in the wake of her passing on Sunday, July 15.
Leonard Nimoy, the director of her 1987 comedy "Three Men and a Baby", wrote on his page, "Celeste Holm has passed away. What a joy for me to direct this great professional in Three Men And A Baby. She played Ted Danson's mom."
Marlee Matlin posted, "RIP veteran Hollywood actress and Oscar Winner Celeste Holm. She starred along Bette Davis in one of my favorite classics All About Eve." Sarah Hyland felt "so sad," and Michael McKean remembered her as "a terrific actress and a splendid person."
Celeste died "peacefully in her home in her own bed with her husband and friends and family nearby." She was hospitalized, but was taken home on Friday. She is survived by her husband Frank Basile, her two sons and her three grandchildren. She was 95.
