Words are, Steven Goldmann is poised to helm the superhero movie which is based on the story of real-life stuntman Rick Rojactt.

Another character from Marvel Comics' universe, The Human Fly, might get a big screen treatment. Deadline reports that a movie adaptation of the red costume-clad superhero is currently in development. It is said that Steven Goldmann is courted to direct it.

Goldmann and Alan Brewer have recently obtained the rights to "The Human Fly". The movie project has Cirque Du Soleil's in-house historian Tony Babinski serving as the screenwriter. Meanwhile, Brewer along with James Reach will serve as the producers.

The film is developed at Eisenverg-Fisher Production, which is based on the Paramount Pictures lot. The company will executive produce the project, which financial reportedly comes from private-equity sources.

"The Human Fly", which had a tagline "The Wildest Superhero Ever - Because He's Real!", was based on the story of real-life stuntman Rick Rojactt. The character was severely injured during a car crash and must undergo a number of reconstructive surgeries in which his skeleton was replaced by steel.

Later, he used his new body to perform daredevil stunts to benefit various charities. His activities often got him into troubles against thugs who wanted to rob the charity events at which he performed. The 19-issue run comics were licensed and published by Marvel from 1977-1979.
