The non-famous band accused One Direction of taking the name which already existed before they were formed on 'The X Factor'.

One Direction are being sued by another band called One Direction. The British band which were formed in the seventh series of "The X Factor" were accused of stealing the name from an unknown band also comprising of five boys.

According to TMZ, the famous One Direction are countersuing the unfamous One Direction because they took the name first. The famous band claimed they have achieved "global fame and success" and said the unfamous one were just looking forward to cash in on their fame.

The case is still ongoing with the unfamous One Direction making denials.

The band consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have released one album, went on sold-out tours and won at BRITs Awards.
