Teasing the aftermath of the shooting in the last season finale, the promo video sees paramedics treating the unseen victim and police chasing the shooter.
In anticipation of "Weeds" upcoming return, Showtime debuts another promo video for the eighth and final season of the show. It highlights the shooting that took place at the very end of the seventh season finale, but still doesn't reveal who got the bullet.
The snippet, however, sees paramedics treating someone unseen who is being carried on a stretcher. Back at Nancy's backyard, cops are chasing the suspect who is only seen from behind, while an elderly couple who are Nancy's neighbors watch it.
"Weeds" will kick off its last season Sunday, July 1 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on Showtime. The cable channel promised to give the crime drama series a proper send-off this summer, but creator Jenji Kohan said earlier this June that she had not decided on how to end Nancy's adventure in the dangerous world.
"We wrack our brains every year for crazy cliffhangers and we're trying to figure out how to top ourselves," she said. Still, Lionsgate TV Group president Kevin Beggs believed that Kohan would write great episodes to conclude everything as telling Entertainment Weekly, "It's an art form."
