The Sarah Walker of 'Chuck' is playing a woman who is assigned to work with Dexter on the police department's old cases.
Yvonne Strahovski of NBC's "Chuck" has joined the upcoming season of "Dexter", playing a mysterious woman. In multi-episode arc, she will play a character named Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she's struggled to put behind her.
In the press release, Showtime further said that McKay was hired to help the Miami Metro Homicide to solve some old cases and Michael C. Hall's Dexter has been assigned to work with her. Dexter wonders whether there's more than meet the eyes with this woman.
Back in April TV Guide reported that Dexter will get a new love interest, a lady with a violent past. The woman is trying to live a quiet life until her path crosses with Dexter's. She is said to "stick around for a while" on the show.
Production of season seven has begun last week. Other guests stars listed for the season are Katia Winter who will play a Russian stripper working at a Miami club and Ray Stevenson who will play the leader of a Russian crime ring.
"Dexter" returns Sunday, September 30 at 9 P.M. on Showtime.
