'The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep' is a music competition that will give the contestants a chance to get mentored personally for 72 full hours.

AceShowbiz - A new music competition series has selected the panel of judges that will find America a new artist to adore. The CW's "The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep" has recruited Joe Jonas, Nelly, Gloria Estefan and John Rich to go on a nationwide search for undiscovered artists.
According to THR, these judges will travel the country and find local performers that will represent their town in the big stage in front of the whole nation. The difference to other music competitions is, the judges will each spend 72 hours to living with the contestants and giving them the ultimate mentoring experience.
"The series is a music talent show, I'm really excited about it ...I'm going to be moving in with someone. The judges will be going to different cities in the states. There will be four people auditioning in each city and these artists are going to be either people that had a chance in the past, maybe they possibly got dropped from a record label. Also there will be people that are local stars or local celebrities," Jonas said in a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest.
The Jonas brother added, "I'm going to be living with them for 72 hours, I'm going to be spending time with their families, learning about them, say they flip burgers, I'm going to be flipping burgers with them, just so that its really hands-on so that I can really get to know this artist so that we can work together for this audition. It's going to be a lot of fun I am really looking forward to it."
Jonas has judged Miss USA pageant and "American Idol" before. He is set to participate in FOX's celebrity dating show "The Choice".
"The Next" comes from Queen Latifah and exec producers Dave Broome and Shakim Compere.
