Vanessa Paradis might have responded to rumors that she split with Johnny Depp, but the Mad Hatter of "Alice in Wonderland" hitmself hasn't spoken a word on the matter until recently. He poured cold water on the breakup rumors when hitting the red carpet at London's Empire in Leicester Square to promote his new movie "Dark Shadows".
"The rumours are not true," the 48-year-old actor told the press as quoted by The Sun. "They are absolutely not true." Showing how much the false reports annoyed him, he added with a sigh, "No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite." He furthermore stressed, "I can't say enough about it not being over."
The rumors that Paradis and Depp ended their 14-year relationship emerged last January. It's reported that they fought constantly, and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor didn't "seem able to hide how badly things are going." After staying quiet for a few weeks, the 39-year-old beauty denied the reports by calling them a complete fabrication.
Paradis didn't accompany Depp when he came to the screenings of "Dark Shadows". He attended the promo event at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre alone last Monday, May 7, and then he stepped out solo when showing up for another similar event in London. Regardless, the special occasions were still full of movie beauties such as Michelle Pfeiffer and Eva Green.
In the London premiere, Pfeiffer looked dazzling wearing a Bordeaux silk-satin strapless look. She finished off her look with Cathy Waterman jewels and the same Sergio Rossi 'Cachet' black pumps. Green, meanwhile, looked stunning in a dark blue velvet gown with slashed neckline. She completed her outfit with gold cuffs and an emerald ring.
