Jack Black and Kyle Gass hype up the upcoming release of their comeback album "Rize of the Fenix" by debuting a Funny or Die music video for their latest single "Roadie". It follows the Tenacious D duo as they search for a new roadie and find one of the most amazing Roadies that has ever toured the roads.
The one who impresses Black and Gass is none other than Danny McBride. The funnyman comes into the picture as the ultimate on-the-road badass companion, Sebastian. Wearing a cowboy hat and rocking a braided chin beard, he claims that he has worked for the likes of Van Halen, Metallica and AC/DC.
The video was directed by Jody Hill. "Jack and Kyle had this cool song about a Roadie, and in the song they portray the Roadie as kind of unsung hero," he explained. "We thought it would be hilarious if while they were singing this song, the Roadie is actually a total s**t head."
"Roadie" is listed among new materials in Tenacious D's album "Rize of the Fenix" which is slated to be released in the U.S. on May 15.
