In the music video, the 'I Invented Sex' singer cries his heart out when recalling his happier time with his leading lady.
Trey Songz enlists Kelly Rowland as his leading lady in a music video for his new single "Heart Attack". The new clip follows him and the former member of Destiny's Child as they go through the ups and downs in their relationship.
Produced by Benny Blanco and Rico Love, "Heart Attack" is taken from Trey's upcoming studio album "Chapter V", which is due later this year. "With this record showing women that men can be vulnerable and that even the most confident man can have a state that he is hurting," he explained to Noise11.
Talking about the new CD, he spilled, "I got my boy T.I. on there. I got Big Sean, J. Cole." He added, "I wanted to give you guys a good look at the heart of the album and a piece of each record, 'Heart Attack' being very vulnerable, simply amazing, very sexy."
In a separate interview, he revealed some of his inspirations. "I go to a new space that people might not be familiar with, I'm inspired by Kings of Leon, Maroon 5," he gushed. "I'm definitely trying to leap forward with every album, and with this album, I think it's a leap forward and a leap into the past."
