Rick Ross' Maybach Music Signs Omarion, Announces New Album Releases

Omarion is set to release an EP and premiere 'Let's Talk' music video sometime soon, while Rozay and Meek Mill have secured release dates for their new albums.

AceShowbiz - Rick Ross and a number of Hip-Hop stars from Maybach Music ensembled at the Eventi Hotel in Manhattan on Wednesday, May 2 for a press conference. With Bad Boy Records founder P. Diddy, Atlantic artist Swizz Beatz and executives from other labels in attendance, Rozay announced new signing, album releases and partnership.

Omarion was officially confirmed by the label boss as a newest member of the Maybach Music squad. "A lot of people have been wondering what's up with Omarion? Is his career over?" the rapper said. "I've never been a fan of popular opinion, but from now on, when you see me, understand that it's Maybach Music."

Rozay also revealed his new studio album, "God Forgives, I Don't", which is due in the U.S. on July 31. Calling it his best body of work yet, he aimed big with the effort. Claiming that it would be "timeless" and put "music on the next level," he explained, "The verses, the tracks, the produciton, the ad-libs - everything's just in the right place."

In further statement, Rozay gushed, "The stories that are being told on this record are gonna make it stand apart." Assuring fans that he would give "nothing but the biggest results," he elaborated more, "It wasn't just about hot beats and hot rhymes but something that was needed, something that was necessary. This was the missing part of my legacy."

June 26 was secured as a release date for MMG compilation CD "Self Made 2". Wale stated, "This is more of a body of work. [It's] a real life hip-hop project." Rozay chimed in, "I believe the personal connection [of everyone in MMG] really reflects in the music. We spent a lot more time on this album. We made better music, much better records."

Meek Mill, meanwhile, spilled his new album "Dreams and Nightmares" would come out on August 28. He teased, "It's giving you both sides of my story. Before the rap, before me traveling the the world, those are the things I dreamed of doing. And the nightmare is being stuck in the streets, being in jail and me going through these types of things."

Additionally, there would be a mixtape called "Dreamchasers 2" released by Meek and it would be followed by music videos for some of its tracks. Omarion also built anticipation for the release of his EP and the premiere of "Let's Talk" music video. On top of that, a clip for "Bag of Money" featuring MMG members hit the web to tide fans over those upcoming projects.

As for a new partnership, Swizz broke the news that he and Rozay would join forces with Reebok for an upcoming clothing line. "I was thrilled that instead of just doing a regular sneaker, we gave Ross his own big and tall line to go and express all his fashion, all his flair," said the producer husband of R&B singer Alicia Keys.

P. Diddy took the podium to thank Rozay for helping him promote his Ciroc vodka. "We can't downplay that. From the blogs to constant behind the scenes and the barrage of videos that he puts out, and just understanding that content is king - he's a genius to me," the Diddy-Dirty Money member sang praise to the MMG label boss.
