Bieber, Underwood and Max George's band are joined by LMFAO to perform live at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 20.

AceShowbiz - The first performers for 2012 Billboard Music Awards have been revealed. Justin Bieber, who receives five nods, is tapped as a musical guest along with "American Idol" star Carrie Underwood and British boyband The Wanted.

Another confirmed act who are set to rock the upcoming show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 20 is LMFAO. This year, Redfoo and SkyBlu score a total of 17 nominations, trailing closely behind Adele who gets 18.

In the major categories, Bieber is vying for Top Male Artist, LMFAO are competing for Top Duo/Group, while Adele is battling Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry to win Billboard's Top Artist of 2012.

In Top New Artist, meanwhile, 2011 "Idol" winner Scotty McCreery has to beat Big Sean, Foster the People, Wiz Khalifa and Eminem's group Bad Meets Evil to take home the coveted title.
