Marvel's highly anticipated superhero ensemble movie, "The Avengers", has been premiered in Hollywood on Wednesday night, April 11. Taking place at the El Capitan Theatre, the special screening event was attended by the film's leading cast members, including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner.
Johansson stole the spotlight in a black Versace tube dress that she paired with Giuseppe Zanotti heels. The actress playing heroine Black Widow in the mega-budgeted film finished off her classy look with Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry.
Hemsworth, who reprises his role as demigod Thor, oozed masculinity in three-piece gray suit. Looking dapper, he let the top button of his tieless shirt open. On the other hand, Downey Jr. arrived together with beloved wife Susan. The Iron Man depicter donned his trademark tinted glasses, while his wife opted to go with a simple black dress.
Ruffalo was also snapped hitting the red carpet with his spouse Sunrise Coigney, who looked pretty in a nude-color dress. As for Evans, the "Captain America: The First Avenger" star sported well-trimmed beard and wore a traditional black suit. Renner, meanwhile, looked fashionable in a two-piece silver suit that he paired with contrast black shirt and tie.
Joining the Earth's Mightiest Heroes depicters on the red carpet were Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders. The actor playing S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury opted for a more casual look with a white jacket and denims complete with a white round hat, while the actress starring as Agent Maria Hill glammed up in an elegant black and gold maxi dress.
Among the celebrity guests spotted on the red carpet were Alexander Skarsgard who arrived together with his father Stellan Skarsgard, Aisha Tyler who showed off sexiness in a sequined black dress, as well as Hal Sparks who flaunted rocker style in a black leather jacket.
"The Avengers" will bring together Marvel Comics' famous superheroes to fight Loki, the biggest foe no single hero could ever withstand. In anticipation of the Josh Wheddon-directed movie's May 4 release in the U.S. cinemas, Walt Disney Pictures unveiled a brand new clip for the film. The snippet highlights a scene where Tony Starks confronts Loki by warning the supervillain that he could never easily defeat the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
