Shredder Balls Launch Devastating Attack in First 'Battleship' Clip
In the sneak peek that showcases stunning special effects, the raging metal balls are seen violently destroying a marine base after coming out from a monolith in the sea.


A first clip from "Battleship" has been shared online via Yahoo! Movies. Being titled "Shredders Attack the Marine", the footage shows the action scene where a number of raging metallic balls violently destroy a military base camp. Also highlighted in the snippet is the stunning visual effect as those balls devastate a host of helicopters.

Based on a Hasbro's classic naval combat game, the sci-fi movie centers on an international naval fleet at Pearl Harbor which engages in an intense battle against an alien race called "The Refents". The aliens arrive on Earth, on a mission to gain power source in the ocean. Upon their visit, they come in contact with the navy.

Directed by Peter Berg, "Battleship" is due to open wide in the U.S. on May 18. Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker and Hamish Linklater are lining up in the cast ensemble.
