John Stamos made the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York extra special on Saturday, March 24 night. The actor known for his portrayal of Uncle Jesse on "Full House" joined hosts Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera on the stage for a "kiss-off" auction during the show, and got himself a man-on-man action.
It all started when Rivera told the audience that she would sell her "sweet lady kisses to the highest bidder" to help raise funds for GLAAD's work. Monteith then followed her lead and offered his kiss. As the auction for Monteith's kiss heated up, Stamos made his bid. When the bidding went higher, Stamos jumped on stage and offered himself up.
In the end, all three stars collected $5,000 each for their smooching services. Rivera gave her kiss to a man who dipped her for their passionate smooch, Monteith planted a wet one on "Smash" star Megan Hilty, and Stamos locked lips with a gentleman in a suit. Before the action, Stamos greeted his bidder by joking, "I got the better prize. Come to daddy!"
After the show, Stamos took to Twitter to share his thought over the auction. "great night!" so he wrote as he retweeted GLAAD's post that read, "@NayaRivera & @CoryMonteith are auctioning off kisses to support @glaad...and @JohnStamos just bid! #glaadawards." Rivera, in the meantime, gushed about the amount of money they raised by tweeting, "$15,000 for kisses?! Yay! New record!"
The 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards itself saw Lady GaGa taking home outstanding music artist for her album "Born This Way" and Oprah Winfrey being honored for her talk show episode "Coming Out on the Oprah Show: 25 Years of Unforgettable Guests". Among the other winners was "Dancing with the Stars", which won the Outstanding Reality Program.
