Police arrested Stacy Salazar, the woman Sheckler took to his hotel room in Las Vegas, and booked her for grand larceny despite her claim that she was set up by the skateboarder's childhood friend.
Ryan Sheckler has fallen victim to jewelry heist while he was sleeping. The 22-year-old skateboarder, who was a star on MTV's "Life of Ryan", had nearly $100,000 worth of jewelry stolen from his room at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas on February 27, and a woman he's known for 4 years was believed to be behind it, TMZ reported.
In a police report obtained by the gossip site, Sheckler claimed that he took Stacy Salazar back to his room at 3:45 A.M. before falling asleep. When awakened by the sound of his door closing, he noticed that Salazar was not around. It wasn't until hours later, however, that he realized he has lost some of his pricey valuables.
The stolen goods included a $12,500 Rolex watch, a $14,975 gold/diamond bracelet, a $63,275 diamond and white gold ring, as well as a diamond necklace. It was noted that Sheckler was still seen wearing the Rolex watch when he and Salazar were caught on security camera taking the elevator up to the room.
Salazar was seen leaving Sheckler's room at 5:05 A.M. The police report noted that "as she is walking, she is fumbling with her purse that she carries over her shoulder." Accordingly, she got to the elevator, but got out at the last minute and went back to Sheckler's room and spoke to him at the door for one minute.
Salazar has since been arrested and booked for grand larceny. She, however, claimed that she was set up by Sheckler's childhood friend, accusing him of being the real culprit.
