AceShowbiz - In anticipation of "Mad Men" season 5 premiere on AMC, the cast of the Emmy-winning series stepped out for a red carpet event. On Wednesday, March 14, the likes of Jon Hamm and January Jones attended a big screen premiere of the show's season opener at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Los Angeles.

Looking sleek in a grey suit which was paired with a striped tie, the Don Draper depicter, Hamm, was all smiles as he came hand-in-hand with longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt. The "Friends with Kids" director, meanwhile, looked simple but elegant in a green tube dress.

Jones stole the limelight with her black retro body-hugging knee-skimming dress, which showed some skin in the midriff, while her new pink-streaked hair was curled. Also rocking a black number were her co-stars Jessica Pare and Alison Brie.

Other stars supporting the screening were John Slattery, Rich Sommer, Vincent Kartheiser and Jared Harris, as well as young actress Kiernan Shipka who plays Don and Betty's daughter. Elisabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks, meanwhile, missed out the event because they're out of the country to work on other projects.

The fifth season of "Mad Men" will debut Sunday, March 25 at 9/8c with a two-hour premiere. Creator Matthew Weiner recently told the audience at PaleyFest that he expects the critically acclaimed series to end after its seventh season, saying, "I don't want to overstay our welcome."
