Just hours earlier, the estranged husband of Katy Perry offers an explanation for his phone-snatching action by tweeting that it was a tribute to the late Steve Jobs.

AceShowbiz - Russell Brand is wanted by New Orleans police two days after throwing a paparazzi's iPhone through an office window. On Wednesday, March 14 night, the New Orleans Police Department issued a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. TMZ detailed that the arrest warrant was put out for simple criminal damage to property.

Brand was accused of the phone-tossing incident on Monday. A paparazzi by the name of Timothy Jackson filed a police report against the "Rock of Ages" star, alleging that the actor wrestled his phone out of his hand and threw it away out of anger. The incident reportedly happened around 7 P.M. in the Warehouse District of New Orleans.

A day afterward, it was uncovered that Brand's people had reached out to a worker inside the building which window was shattered in the incident to offer compensation. On Wednesday morning, the estranged husband of Katy Perry himself explained his action by tweeting, "Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory."
