"The Hunger Games" has finally been premiered at the Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles on Monday night, March 12. Becoming the center of attention at the star-studded special screening event were the film's leading trio, Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, who were welcomed by screaming fans as they made their arrivals on the black carpet.
Leading lady Lawrence undoubtedly became the belle of the ball with her dazzling look in a floor-length backless golden dress. Looking gorgeous with a simple chignon, the depicter of heroine Katniss Everdeen was at one point seen showing off her back as she posed for the swarming cameramen.
Hemsworth, on the other hand, was spotted arriving together with none other than Miley Cyrus. Looking sleek in a traditional black suit, the Australian actor who plays Gale Hawthorne was all smiles as he stepped out with his famous girlfriend, who bared her toned midriff in a daring two-piece sheer black outfit.
As for Hutcherson, the Peeta Mellark depicter oozed masculinity in a dapper three-piece suit that he paired with striped shirt and a plaid tie. He was joined by co-star Elizabeth Banks who brought colors to the black carpet with her eye-catching number. The actress channeled Effie Trinket's fashionista persona by rocking a shocking orange one-shoulder mini dress that she paired with nude-colored pumps.
Also supporting the special screening event were the stars who tackle the supporting roles as Tributes. Looking all gorgeous on the black carpet, the female co-stars include Isabelle Fuhrman who plays Clove, Amandla Stenberg who portrays Rue, and Leven Rambin who stars as Glimmer. Among the male Tributes, there were Jack Quaid who plays Marvel and Dayo Okeniyi who portrays Tresh.
Other celebrity guests spotted that night were Kendall Jenner and her sister Kylie Jenner. The younger siblings of Kim Kardashian looked stunning in co-ordinating black and white dresses that they paired with towering-high heels.
Based on Suzanne Collin's bestselling novel, "The Hunger Games" revolves around Katniss as she replaces her sister, Prim, in annual deadly games sponsored by the Panem government. Along with her District 12 partner Peeta, the heroine is forced to rely upon her sharp instinct to survive in the games and come back home to the mining district.
In anticipation of the movie's March 23 release across the U.S. theaters, Lionsgate Film revealed another fresh clip for the film. Highlighting the moment when Peeta is interviewed by Caesar during the introduction night, the sneak peek sees the male lead admitting his feeling for Katniss in front of public.
