Tatum as the host came back to his stripper past in the monologue while Wiig spoofed the singer in 'Weekend Update'.
"Saturday Night Live" this week opened with Channing Tatum ripping his shirt off. The host made fun of his stripper past during his monologue after recognizing some of his old "customers" in the audience seat.
Tatum greeted the audience, "I still can't believe that I'm here on 'Saturday Night Live', considering my first job was a male stripper". Saying hi to the ladies who were his former audience in strip clubs, Tatum spotted his best "client", Leslie, played by Fred Armisen.
One of the other highlights from the February 4 episode was a sketch involving Kristen Wiig dressing up as Lana Del Rey. The singer infamously performed on "SNL" last month much to criticism about whether she is ready for such a big stage. Wiig defended her performance, saying, "Based on the public's response, I must have clubbed a baby seal while singing the Taliban national anthem."
Next week, Zooey Deschanel will host with music duo Karmin as musical guest.
