The new promo video of the highly anticipated novel-adapted film unveils some fresh scenes, including the one that sees blue-haired Caesar Flickerman flattering Katniss at her introduction night.

Lionsgate Films has debuted the Super Bowl commercial for its highly anticipated movie "The Hunger Games". Coming out via Yahoo! Movies, the brand new trailer, which will air during the Sunday, February 5 football championship, reveals more new scenes featuring Katniss Everdeen in her preparation before the Capitol deadly games begin.

The freshly released promo video offers more footage in the Capitol, including the one that sees smooth-talking Caesar Flickerman singing praises to Katniss at her introduction night. It additionally shows a longer look at President Snow as well as a glimpse of Cinna who gives Katniss a special gift in the last minutes before the Hunger Games kick off.

In "The Hunger Games", Katniss replaces her little sister Prim in a fight-to-the-death annual event sponsored by the Panem government. Pitted against highly-trained competitors who have prepared for these games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy to survive in the game.

The movie will open wide in the U.S. on March 23. On Thursday, February 2, Lionsgate announced that the much awaited film will also arrive in IMAX theaters for a one-week limited screening. Lionsgate's Joe Drake said in a statement, "With this news, the release of 'The Hunger Games' has truly become an epic event."

He added, " 'The Hunger Games' and IMAX are a match in heaven, fans love this book because its world is so vividly imagined and seeing the film in IMAX will make them feel as if they have landed right in the middle of the action. It is the ideal way for the fans to experience this film for the first time."

Based on Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel series, the movie is directed by Gary Ross. The cast ensemble includes Jennifer Lawrence as lead heroine Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as her District 12 Tribute partner Peeta Mellark, and Liam Hemsworth as her best friend Gale Hawthorne. Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Wes Bentley and Willow Shields also support the film.
