Levine comes out with the declaration after Aguilera says she has 'to be a pretty strong girl to stay up in the mix' with the Maroon 5 frontman, Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo Green.
Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo Green might be treating Christina Aguilera as one of the guys, but they still keep appropriate manner when she's around. In the new issue of Rolling Stone, the Maroon 5 frontman revealed that he and fellow male judges on "The Voice" refrained themselves from farting in front of the pop diva.
Catching the friendly banter among all four coaches for its cover story, Rolling Stone quoted Levine when he told Aguilera, "I honestly just recently started realizing that you're surrounded by three dudes all the time, and that has to be something of a pain in the ass." In the guys' defense, he told the magazine, "We stopped farting in front of her!"
In response to Levine's admission, Aguilera quipped, "You had a nasty burp at the Super Bowl commercial, though." On being the only female mentor on the show, the "Not Myself Tonight" singer admitted, "You have to be a pretty strong girl to stay up in the mix with the guys. It's a lot. It's a crazy locker-room kind of situation."
In the article, Levine also explained why he envies Shelton. "Blake can say anything or do anything," the boyfriend of Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna said. "If I was like, 'I'm drunk at 4:00!' I'd be attacked. He's like, 'It's cool, f**k you, I just shot a f**king moose, kiss my ass!' He can say whatever he wants."
