A Super Bowl spot from another big movie has been shared. After "The Avengers" released a preview to its trailer that will air during the football championship, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" has debuted a full version of its promo video that is set to air during the Sunday, February 5 event on NBC.
The Super Bowl ad for "G.I. Joe 2" offers a look at some never-before-seen scenes. It has more footage featuring female ninja Jinx as well as some slow motion ninja battle scenes. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, at one point, is seen launching an attack while plunging off a tall building.
In the upcoming movie, the G.I. Joe team must work together to fight against mercenary Zartan and his accomplices. Having the world leaders under his influence, Zartan launches attack towards innocent populace and has some new heavies on the payroll to keep G.I. Joe at bay. Directed by Jon M. Chu, this sequel to 2009's "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" will open wide in the U.S. on June 29.
In addition to the "G.I. Joe 2" ad, "The Dictator" has released a sneak peek to its Super Bowl trailer. The footage is jam-packed with hilarious scenes involving Sacha Baron Cohen as an eccentric billionaire. Speaking with a funny accent, Baron Cohen opens the video by saying, "Hello America! I just bought the NBC..." Then there's a funny scene that sees him cheating during a running race game.
The comedy follows the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. Larry Charles serves behind the lens, while Baron Cohen co-produces and co-writes the film in addition to starring in it. The movie is set to be released in the U.S. on May 11.
