The Carters are requesting privacy in the wake of Leslie Carter's death, leaving out the 25-year-old's cause of death.
The Carter clan is grieving the death of Leslie Carter. The sister of singers Nick Carter and Aaron Carter died on Tuesday, January 31 in upstate New York at the age of 25. The family has released a statement on the tragedy but no cause of death was mentioned.
"Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter," a spokesperson for the family said. "We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."
Leslie, like her brothers, was a singer although she has never released an album. In 1999 she signed a recording deal with DreamWorks Record and her single "Like Wow!" was included on the soundtrack for "Shrek" in 2001.
Together with the rest of her siblings, Leslie starred in a reality show "House of Carters" in 2006. She has two sisters, Bobbie, who is the eldest and Aaron's twin Angel. Leslie is married to Mike Ashton and has a 10-month-old daughter Alyssa Jane Ashton.
