The Benjamin Sisko of 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' fails a field sobriety test when being pulled over in Wilton, Connecticut following a complaint that he was driving erratically.
A former "Star Trek" star has found himself in trouble with the law for drunk driving. Avery Brooks, the actor famous for his portrayal of Benjamin Sisko on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Wilton, Connecticut on Sunday, January 29 night.
The Wilton Police Department told E! News that the 63-year-old was taken under police custody after someone complained that he was driving erratically near the intersection of Belden Hill and Seir Hill Road. TMZ additionally reported that the cops administered a field sobriety test after the actor was pulled over.
Brooks, who is also known as Hawk on "Spenser: For Hire", has since been released from custody. The "American History X" actor is expected to appear before a court judge on February 9. If convicted, he could be sentenced to 6 months in jail. It should be noted though that first-time offenders most likely end up with probation.
