While Dujardin and Davis win the Outstanding Actor and Actress awards respectively, 'The Help' grabs the prize for the coveted Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Screen Actors Guild Awards 2012 has unveiled its movie winners during the Sunday, January 29 ceremony in Los Angeles. Jean Dujardin and Viola Davis were among the shining names at the prestigious awards show. The two were honored with the Outstanding Actor and Actress awards respectively. Meanwhile, "The Help" won the coveted kudo for the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

"The Artist" actor Dujardin won the Outstanding Actor gong after defeating such contenders as George Clooney ("The Descendants"), Brad Pitt ("Moneyball) and Leonardo DiCaprio ("J. Edgar"). When accepting his trophy from Natalie Portman, the French actor said "Oh my God" for several times as he was surprised by his win.

Viola Davis, meanwhile, was named the Outstanding Actress after defeating such rivals as Glenn Close ("Albert Nobbs"), Meryl Streep ("The Iron Lady") and Michelle Williams ("My Week with Marilyn"). As Colin Firth announced Davis as the winner, the crowd gave her standing ovation. Even Streep was overjoyed for her and Jessica Chastain was seen crying. "What is there but a dream? You can't trade in your dream for another dream," said Davis in her winning speech.

Taking home the Outstanding Supporting Actor kudo is Christopher Plummer thanks to his role in "Beginners". Upon receiving the award from presenter Michelle Williams, Plummer said, "I just can't tell you what fun I've had being a member of the world's second-oldest profession" before thanking Cosmo the Dof and his co-star Ewan McGregor.

As for the Outstanding Supporting Actress, Octavia Spencer grabs the prize for her well-reviewed performance in "The Help". "I'm gonna dedicate this to the downtrodden, the underserved, the underprivileged, over-taxed, whether emotionally, physically or financially, thank you so much," Spencer says after accepting her kudo from presenter Don Cheadle.

This year's SAG Awards was held at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Aside from the movie winners, the annual prize-giving show honored the best in Primetime TV field, which winners included "Game of Thrones", "Modern Family" and "30 Rock" among others.
