Kenny Chesney is the biggest nominations gatherer this year while Taylor Swift is the only woman in the Entertainer of the Year race.
The Academy of Country Music has announced the nominees of its 47th annual ACM Awards on Thursday, January 26. Leading the pack with nine nominations is Kenny Chesney, followed by Jason Aldean with six nods and Lady Antebellum with five.
Chesney is nominated for the awards' highest honor, Entertainer of the Year, along with Brad Paisley, Aldean, Blake Shelton and the only female singer in the category, Taylor Swift. He owes a lot of his nods to "You and Tequila", his 2011 single featuring Grace Potter.
The nominees were revealed online via Facebook and Twitter during the ACM's first-ever digital press conference. Fans can vote for Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year starting from March 19. Meanwhile, the voting for the top prize will continue up to the third hour of the live April 1 ceremony at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Reba McEntire will be back as host, sharing the duty with Shelton. CBS which has just struck a 10-year-deal with ACM will air it live at 8:00-11:00 P.M. live ET/delayed PT.
