AceShowbiz - The cancellation of Katy Perry's appearance at the upcoming 38th annual People's Choice Awards is not really surprising for the organizer. Despite the fact that it's made only a few days after being confirmed, Mark Burnett said, "It's understandable."

The PCAs executive producer talked about the matter to E! Online. He additionally explained why the cancellation is not something that people should make such a fuss about. "Things like this happen all the time," he stated.

2012 PCAs is going to take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on January 11. The show will be hosted by "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco. "This is my audition for SNL," she gushed. "That is my ultimate goal in my career - to host SNL."

Emma Stone, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Greene, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Robert Pattinson, Betty White and Lea Michele are confirmed to attend. Meanwhile, Demi Lovato and Faith Hill are going to perform.

On top of that, "The Hunger Games" trio Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence have been tapped to serve as presenters. Rumor has it, Liam will bring along his songstress girlfriend Miley Cyrus when coming to the annual show.
