The country sweetheart will show her acting chop on the NBC drama, appearing in an episode where singer Harry McConnick, Jr. is also guest starring.
Miranda Lambert is crossing the bridge to acting world. The Grammy-winning country singer is going to appear in an episode of NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". "Y'all I'm so freaking excited to be on my favorite show ever!!!" Lambert tweeted on Saturday, January 7.
The casting news was first shared by TV Guide which also said that Lambert's role would be an actress who has been sexually assaulted by a reality TV producer. Playing her alleged assailant is Oscar nominee Michael McKean.
In the same episode, Harry Connick Jr. will also make a guest appearance but he will have a four-episode arc as Mariska Hargitay's love interest.
Lambert's husband, Blake Shelton, is also adding TV career in his resume. He will return as one of the judges on NBC's singing competition "The Voice".
