James "Munky" Shaffer, the guitarist of Korn, has tied the knot to Evis Xheneti, an actress, on Monday, January 2. Their wedding took place in Paris, France where Munky first popped the question eight months ago. "We wanted to get married in Paris because this is our city," Evis told Radar Online. "James proposed at the Eiffel tower, so it just seemed like we were supposed to get married here."
Described as a 1920s style romantic wedding, it was held inside "a small, 200 year-old church on the Seine river". Radar Online said only a small group of family and friends attended the wedding, including bride's sister, singer Xhoana Xheneti, Korn's manager of twenty years and one of Shaffer's best friends, Jeff Kwatinetz, and Korn's tour manager, Jens Geiger.
The bride wore a lace mermaid style gown from Monique Lhuillier and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. The groom stuck to Lanvin from head to toe. They traded Cartier rings. Xhoana served as the maid of honor, wearing a bright blue Bao Tranchi gown.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris where the guests were served with French cuisine. "It was really my dream wedding. It couldn't have been any more perfect," Evis said. The newlyweds will go on a honeymoon in a secret tropical location in a few months.
