"The Bachelor" season 16 has officially kicked off on January 2, putting Ben Flajnik as the center of the ladies' attention. Despite having around 25 eye-candy females swooning over him, the winemaker, who was one of the former suitors on "The Bachelorette" season 7, seemed to be at ease and amused at the same time.
One by one, the ladies showed up introducing themselves to him. Dressed to impress, the gorgeous women found their own ways to catch Ben's attention, but it was Lindzi who received the first-impression rose. Wearing a strapless black long gown, the animal lover immediately turned his head when she arrived on an unlikely ride, a horse.
Another highlight at the season premiere was the time when Monica admitted she had no feelings for Ben because she's into women. This mortified fellow contestant, Jenna, and made her angrier when Monica tried to hit on Ben. Jenna got even more upset when Monica got cozy with another fellow participant Blakely, whom Monica said was the reason she joined the show.
A peacemaker later came in a form of Rachel who tried to mediate a truce between Monica and Jenna, but failed to do so. The two girls, however, did manage to talk about the tension between them, but ended up with Jenna crying in the bathroom. "I just feel like you don't like me," Jenna said, which was simply replied by Monica with a short note, "I don't know you."
