Meanwhile, being eliminated on the semifinal round, Marcus Canty believes it won't be the last time people see him.

AceShowbiz - "The X Factor (US)" has eliminated another contestant before entering the final round next week. On Thursday, December 15, viewers' votes determined the fate of the remaining four finalists since the judges had no say in who went home that night.

After dodging elimination several times, Marcus Canty was eventually voted off from the show for being the lowest vote-getter following his performances on Wednesday. This means Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik will continue their race for the champion title.

Believing that it would not be the last time people see him, Marcus stated upon hearing his elimination, "It's not over yet." He added, "God blessed me so much being in this competition," and told his family to stop crying for him. Meanwhile, his mentor L.A. Reid expressed his confidence about the 20-year-old singer's future as saying, "I think you're a major star. I know you'll continue to do great."

The result show was kicked off with Marcus, Chris, Melanie and Josh delivering BLACKstreet's "No Diggity" in a group performance while they were still showing their individual singing styles. Florence and the Machine were the musical guest, while judge/mentor Nicole Scherzinger took the stage to premiere her new song "Pretty".

On next week's final result show, Justin Bieber is said to cater the "X Factor" audience with some songs from his Christmas album "Under the Mistletoe". He reportedly has taped his performance on Wednesday, December 14.
