Drew Ryniewicz might have got the consolation from Justin Bieber after getting the boot from "The X Factor (US)", but some viewers apparently could not contain their disappointment over the judges' decision to send home their favorite. Reports said Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul have received violent messages after showing no favor to the 14-year-old singer in last week's result show.
According to TMZ, the "violent threats" made Nicole and Paula fear for their lives. The two were targeted by the angry fans because they chose to vote off Drew, while the audience might give L.A. Reid an excuse since he showed support to his protege Marcus Canty.
Some of the abusive messages posted on Twitter and Facebook reportedly read, "F**K you paula you dumb c**t you voted off the most talented person on your f**king show. i hope you die you DUMB B***H," "I hope you die, you selfish----------," and "@NicoleScherzy @paulaabdul go die."
A FOX spokesperson said the network has no comment on the reports of death threats, but sources with production allegedly confirmed to Gossip Cop that Nicole and Paula have received "a ton" of vitriol since Drew's elimination. Other sources told TMZ that the two female judges/mentors are shocked by the harassing messages.
It is unclear whether the network will take additional security precautions following the alleged death threats. Meanwhile, representatives for Nicole and Paula have not commented on the issue.
Drew was sent home on Thursday, December 1 after landing on the bottom two along with Marcus. The two contestants sang their survival song before the judges determined their fate. Drew was eventually voted off 3-1 with Simon Cowell the only one who gave his vote for the singer representing Arizona.
