The 'Terminator' actress will reprise her role as Chuck's mother in the last episode of the show, whose final scene was filmed with 'a lot of tears.'
With "Chuck" nearing its end, one recurring star is invited to pay a final visit. Linda Hamilton, who first appeared on the action comedy show in its fourth season, will reprise her role as Chuck's mother, Mary Bartowski, for the two-hour series finale.
Details of her upcoming appearance, however, remain scarce since executive producer Chris Fedak refuses to spill the beans. "If I said anything, I'd be ruining too many good spoilers," he teases when responding to TV Guide's inquiry about what brings Mary back into Chuck's life.
The finale's final scene, meanwhile, has been filmed on Wednesday, November 30. Describing the situation while the cast and crew took the shot, Fedak shares, "There were a lot of tears. It was a very dramatic, tear-filled experience. We have been cherishing each day as we've neared the end."
NBC only gave a 13-episode order for the fifth and final season of "Chuck". The show has been in hiatus since mid-November and will return on Friday, December 9. The last episode is set to air on January 27, 2012.
