'X Factor' Result: Stacy Francis Sent Home, Astro Mulling Over Survival Performance

Landing on the bottom two with Stacy, 15-year-old Astro initialy refused to sing for his life before listening to an advice from his mentor, L.A. Reid.

It turned out most of "The X Factor (US)" viewers agreed to the judges' opinions that Stacy Francis' performance on Wednesday, November 16 was not the best of hers. The 42-year-old aspiring singer was one of the two contestants who got the lowest vote, before she was eventually voted off by the judges on the Thursday result show.

However, it was not Stacy who caused a drama on the stage that night. Astro, who was also in jeopardy after landing on the bottom two, stated that he would not sing in front of the judges who would determine his fate.

"I really don't wanna perform. I feel like it's unnecessary," the 15-year-old hip-hop dynamo said, before turning to his mentor L.A. Reid for an opinion. "But I'mma leave it up to you. You're my mentor. Do you think I should I perform?" he asked the music producer, who told him to perform.

Astro belted "Never Can Say Goodbye" which described his experiences on the show, but he appeared to be giving only half of his heart in the performance. As for Stacy, she sang "Amazing Grace" for her survival performance.

When it was the time for the judges to make their decision, L.A. criticized Astro for his bad attitude. "You acted a little bit like a quitter, and it upset me," he said, but still picked the boy over Stacy. Paula Abdul also gave her vote to Astro, while Nicole Scherzinger wanted her "student" Stacy to stay.

Before casting his vote, Simon Cowell also commented on Astro's attitude, "I don't like your attitude right now... You are showing disrespect to your mom. You are showing disrespect to the audience at home, and I don't like people with this attitude."

Astro defended himself, "No disrespect to you or this show, but I just feel like if you're going to put me in the bottom two, I don't want to perform for people who don't want me here, you know what I'm saying? That's it." The audience booed the young singer who broke into tears.

When Simon asked if he would show a similar reaction if he is put in the same situation again, Astro apologized. The British music mogul finally gave another shot to Astro and chose to send Stacy home.

The November 17 episode of "X Factor (US)" featured Rihanna as a musical guest. She sang her latest chart-topper "We Found Love" in a pre-taped performance.

Sounds like Astro thinks he's God's gift to music & thinks only of himself and Simon reinforced and condoned it by keeping him on as did the other 2 judges. No wonder why kids have bad attitudes & no respect.

Seems to be an epidemic of blacks believing they are WAY more talented than reality indicates...Astro, Kanye, Obama. Is this what 50 years of political correctness and racial coddling have brought us? We need to re-think our collective perspective.

He was just having a typical TEENAGER BREAK down. IF anything America should understand for we are a Nation full of bratty kids. Clearly he is ment to be there he is very talented and is blessed to have judges with bigs heart and give him a 2nd chance..(OOHYAA) Rap is a form of art!GOOGLE IT! HAHA! #TEAMASTRO

After writing his own lyrics, getting standing ovations, high praise by the judges week after week, I also felt that Astro should not have been in the bottom two. I wouldn't have wanted to perform either. His days on the show are numbered now, so why should he bust his tail to please folks that are going to vote him off eventually?

It is amazing to me that Astro is still on X Factor!!! Rap is not talent at all!! Stacy Francis appreciated her time there and knew that she was being handed an opportunity of a lifetime. Astro, however disrespect the judges, the viewers, the fans, and the audience by his attitude. He is an ungrateful 15-year boy who is being handed a free ride to fame and fortune...This is America's problem. The X factor just lost a few viewers!

C'mon it is so clear why he kept Astro. He created all this buzz the day after and that is what the show wanted. The big picture is that America loves to forgive, BUT we don't forget, his days are numbered, and lets not forget he is just a snotty little boy, who will be humbled when he is eliminated. The top and final 3 will be Melanie (winner), Rachel and Josh.

Astro...go home, and grow up. He is a spoiled obnoxious brat. And who ever said that rap crap is music. It is nothing but NOISE. Stacy has more talent in her little finger than Astro. What does a 15 year old need 5 million for anyway.
