Tarsem Singh's upcoming Snow White movie, "Mirror Mirror", has got its first trailer available for viewing pleasure. Unlike its rival movie "Snow White and the Huntsman" which gives a dark twist on the fairytale, Singh's take on the fair skinned princess story is rather colorful and comical.
Donning various pretty gowns, Lily Collins portrays a feminine and playful version of Snow White in the trailer. Meanwhile, Julia Roberts plays the mean Evil Queen in a humorous way. At one point, the Queen is seen mistakenly poisoning the prince of charming with a "Puppy Love" potion that makes him act like a real puppy.
To open wide in the U.S. on March 16, 2012, the movie is a retelling of one of the most beloved fables of all-time. The film will eschew the traditional story in favor of a more modern tale full of comedy and adventure. After her evil stepmother kills her father and destroys the kingdom, Snow White bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarves to reclaim what is rightly hers.
While the "Immortals" director, Singh, serves behind the lens, "Machine Gun Preacher" scribe Jason Keller and "Meet Bill" screenwriter Melisa Wallack provide the screenplay. The cast ensemble additionally include Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Sean Bean, Robert Emms, Mare Winningham and Michael Lerne.
