AceShowbiz - Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn have renewed their wedding vows, and they chose a special day for the special occasion, November 11, 2011. Sharing details of the private ceremony to PEOPLE, the "Kangaroo Jack" actor spilled that the idea came a few night earlier.
"A couple of nights ago, I said to Rebecca, 'We should renew our vows at 11:11 and 11 seconds on 11/11,' " dished the 37-year-old, who is currently starring in "Seminar" on Broadway in New York. His 39-year-old wife agreed and added that they "should do it at 11th Street and 11th Ave." She also wanted them to "wear corduroys somewhere" because "it's the fabric of 11/11".
Explaining why they chose the date, Jerry revealed that he and the "Ugly Betty" star have put great significance in the number 11 within their relationship. "If we happen to look at our phone and it's 11:11, one of us always texts the other," he said before pointing out its numerical symmetry as saying, "There's two of us - Rebecca and I - and the two of our kids."
Of the ceremony itself, the Pete Kaczmarek of "The Defenders" said, "I didn't think [renewing our vows] was gonna be so emotional, but it was ... I think I was more emotional than my wife." He also presented Rebecca with a Lulu Guinness clutch to commemorate the day, but has to leave her with their twin daughters because of his Broadway performance.
Jerry and Rebecca have been married four years since tying the knot near Los Angeles in Calabasas, California on July 14, 2007. They welcomed their twin girls, Dolly and Charlie, on December 28, 2008.
