The 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards also sees Lauren Alaina, Miranda Lambert and Faith Hill among others bringing their best look to the red carpet.
One of the biggest nights in country music has been kicked off at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee as stars stepped out on Wednesday, November 9 for the 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards. Among those looking lovely on the red carpet were Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.
28-year-old Carrie, who serves as the show's co-host with Brad Paisley for the fourth consecutive year, sparkled in a gold-sequined gown with cap sleeves by Reem Acra. The Female Vocalist of the Year nominee wore her hair down and completed her look with a champagne satin clutch, drop earrings and a cocktail ring.
21-year-old Taylor, in the meantime, brought her elegant style to the red carpet. The "Speak Now" singer opted to go with a silver gown. On the special night, she is competing for the Best Song kudo with her single "Mean" and is expected to entertain the audience with her live performance.
Another young singer bringing a lovely touch to the red carpet was current "American Idol" runner-up Lauren Alaina. For her appearance on the awards show, the 17-year-old rocked a white dress with jewel-studded straps designed by Mandalay. Of the gown, she said, "I don't really do white dresses, but I put this one on and fell in love with it!"
Miranda Lambert also glammed up for the evening wearing a strapless sequin gown by Haute Hippie. She was joined by husband Blake Shelton. Another power couple looking impressive on the red carpet were Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Faith wore a simple white column dress, while her husband Tim was clad from head to toe in basic black.
