John Schneider, who played Jonathan Kent on the sci-fi series, will appear in a December episode which marks the return of Chord Overstreet's Sam Evans on the musical series.
"Smallville" vet John Schneider has landed another patriarch role on "Glee". The Jonathan Kent depicter on The CW's sci-fi series has been cast as Sam Evans' father on the FOX drama musical show, TVLine reports.
Schneider is booked for one episode at this point and will appear in the eighth episode of season 3, which also marks the return of Chord Overstreet's Sam. This gig will reunite the 51-year-old actor/singer with creator Ryan Murphy after they worked together on FX's "Nip/Tuck".
"Glee" airs every Tuesday at 8/7c. The upcoming November 8 episode will introduce another new character Sebastian, who is played by Grant Gustin. TV Guide has obtained a sneak peek to his scene where he is featured flirting with Darren Criss' Blaine.
Another clip, meanwhile, gives a look at Blaine visiting Dalton Academy where the Warblers are covering "Uptown Girl".
