Halloween has come early to Hollywood. On Saturday, October 29 night, a number of celebrities stepped out in their unique costumes to celebrate the spooky holiday. Among those turning heads with their dramatic transformations were supermodel Heidi Klum and socialite-turned-fashion designer Nicole Richie.
Heidi stole the spotlight at her Halloween party at Tao Las Vegas with her skinless corpse costume. Transforming herself into a dead body in The Bodies: The Exhibition style, she donned a bodysuit designed and hand-painted by Martin Izquierdo and completed it with yellow prosthetic teeth, red contact lenses and a bald head cap.
The 38-year-old made her grand entrance on a gurney covered with a white bed sheet and escorted by two bloodstained doctors. On the red carpet, she told reporters, "This is my thirteenth Halloween party this year and I wanted something different. I was thinking how it would look if I had all my skin ripped off, and so...voila!"
On the making of the costume, Seal's wife told Us Weekly, "We started in July. We started with a body suit that was white. And then, basically, everything had to be hand-painted. Izquierdo used anatomical photos of the human body to accurately render the bones and muscles." She added that it took about three-and-a-half hours with a makeup artist to complete the transformation.
While Heidi went freaky, Nicole caught attention for another reason. Having encouraged others not to avoid "slutty" costume days earlier, the wife of rocker Joel Madden came to Kate Hudson's bash in the Pacific Palisades as Jennifer Lopez complete with pink sweatsuit, oversized gold aviators and huge hoop earrings.
To make her impersonation more believable, the 30-year-old also brought along a Louis Vuitton bag, sported glowing golden tan and put up her hair in a bun. She also took to Twitter to share photos of her in the costume. One pictures her with her husband dressing up as Hunter S. Thomson, while another features a solo shot of her with a caption, "My Love Don't Cost A Thing."
Other celebrities seen dressing up for Halloween included reality stars Kim Kardashian and Bethenny Frankel. While "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" beauty Kim came to a Midori-sponsored party at the New York club Lavo as Poison Ivy, "The Real Housewives of New York City" Bethenny slipped into a Hello Kitty costume for Heidi's bash.
Celebrity couple Ice-T and Nicole "Coco Marie" Austin, in the meantime, channeled Hannibal Lecter and sexy she-devil as they hosted Halloween Player's Ball at LAX nightclub inside the Luxor Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. One night earlier on Friday, AnnaLynne McCord slipped into a sexy French femme fatale costume at the "Haunted Seduction" Halloween Party in the Sin City.
